Digimon: Zero Two, known as Digimon Adventure: Zero Two as well (also stylised as Digimon [Adventure]: 02) is the 2nd season of the Digimon anime, coming out on April 2, 2000 in Japan, and on August 19, 2000 in the West.
Its story takes place 3 years after the conclusion of the previous season.
The original "Digidestined" are now in high school, and so the story follows a new group of Chosen Kids.
The Digital World has been plagued by a new evil, a self-proclaimed "Digimon Emperor", who is striving to conquer it.
The Digimon Emperor is building Dark Towers (also known as the Control Spires in the DUB), which prevent Digimon from evolving naturally.
The new Digidestined need to work though these obstacles in order to defeat him, finding alternate ways to evolve their Digimon.
They can achieve it with the help the new kind of D-3 Digivices they receive, which enable new, previously unseen types digivolution, and which also act as portals between the real world and the digital one.
New things called Digi-mentals (coming from "digi-" + "elemental") are introduced, and they enable a new type of evolution, called Armor evolution.

(The "D-3")
The first is a 2-part movie, the 1st one being Digimon Zero Two: Hurricane Landing, and the 2nd one Digimon Zero Two: Transcendent Evolution!! Golden Digimentals!!, which came out in 2000, while the anime was still going.
The story is taking place in USA, and its events are taking place while the events from the anime are still going on.
The 2nd movie is Digimon Zero Two: Revenge, and it is a comeback of the main villain from the 1st Season movie Digimon Adventure: Our War Game.
And the final movie is called Digimon Zero Two: The Beginning. It is a sequel to the final 1st Season movie Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, and it concludes the series' story.
